Just the facts

And you thought puffy hair was the worst of it (or, "them good ol' eighties." Or, "'trickle down,' my ass!"). . .

Here's how much people's income rose between 1983-1989:

Wealthiest 1 percent: 61.6%
Next 19 percent: 37.2%
Bottom EIGHTY percent: 1.2%

And the eighties weren't the end of it! Since the 1980s . . .

Corporate profits rose 174 percent.

CEO wages went up 250 percent.

The average worker's wage dropped 45 cents an hour.

70% of all workers feel they have less job security than they did 20 or 30 years ago.

The Government claims this is the "best" economy in decades.

In New Zealand (where health care is provided for all) . . .

Dentists used potentially dangerous mercury fillings, for their patients, up until two years ago.

Some men may not be able to get checked for prostate cancer.

A large amount of prostate cancer treatment isn't covered by the public health care system.

In America (where you can buy whatever insurance you like, and get what some people call the "best" treatment in the world) . . .

Dentists still use potentially dangerous mercury fillings, for their patients.

The majority of insurance companies will not pay for prostate examinations.

The majority of insurance companies will not pay for prostate cancer treatment.

I can't get health care, even if I am willing to pay for it.

Your money, or your life?

A large number of people in favor of Capital Punishment, claim they don't trust the Government with their money.

Did you know? The United States leads the industrialized world in income inequality?

Right Now . . .

The 371 richest people on Earth have a combined net worth of $850,000,000,000 dollars.

The 2,250,000,000 poorest people on earth have a combined net worth of $850,000,000,000 dollars.

Wow, it just keeps getting WORSE (or, "I don't think it's the shoplifters, we have to worry about")!

Here's how much of the money in the United States, per year, belonged to the UPPER 1%. Imagine, this is only ONE percent of the people. And you're wondering where all the money went . . .

1976: 22%
1979: 23%
1981: 27%
1983: 34%
1986: 35%
1989: 39%
1992: 42%
1997: 51%

To wrap it up . . .

You're getting screwed.

If you click this, it takes you back to the table of brains.
