Letter # 9

My grandfather did receive his furlough. Obviously, since he was home, no letters were written during that time (stating the obvious is accepted when it comes to the military, right?). This letter was written on his way back to Camp Hell. It's actually a pretty pointless letter, but I put it in here for continuity and cuz I wanted to include the graphic below. Sue me.

Dear Folks -

Well, here I am at Kansas City again (terrible ink they got here). It's somewhat warmer here than there, altho not hot.

Got about 2 hours 'til train time & I'm going uptown to look this burg over, so I'll make this brief. Will write more later.
